Abilities Week at VHS

Coming up in the near future, students at VHS will be partaking in what we are calling abilities week. Each day we will focus on what makes each student different and special here at VHS as students try to shed their insecurities and celebrate what makes us all different, unique, and special.

I wanted to share with everyone a video of VHS student Marcus Pack a 9th grader at VHS. Marcus has autism and he is a very special young man with a mission to make VHS a better place. His attempts to combat bullying in our school and serving as special assistant to the Varsity Football program are what make him and his special role in this school so meaningful to everyone who meets him. Marcus is a joy to be around and I really appreciate him having the courage to come forward and tell us about his abilities, interests, and what he sees going on at VHS. Thank you Marcus.
